A customer approached me lately after returning from a European vacation. She was gushing about the beauty, architecture and overall pleasantness of the trip and frisked to frame some of the mementos She had scrape togethered At first, I suggested a standard shadow enclosed seat or seats one that would capture the theme she was trying to portray. Then I learned that she was hoping to the couple display the piece In the center of a sweep and to periodically add to its easy in minds My challenge was to create a classically styl tabletop display that allowed the contenteds to be updated and viewed from all sides.
The first pace was to cut and join sum of two units of Framerica's No. BW2603 to 8 1/2 by dint of 15 inches, to serve as front- and back-face flames. nearest I cut and joined pair No. BW26031to 5 by 8 inches, using these as the side frames. I stood them up forward their edges, faced them outward and "sandwiched" them between the front rank and back frames. I then attached the frames together using a two-step proces I used staples at the top and bottom before face nailing couple brads through each short rail of the impudence and back face frames (into the side frames). This insured a tight bold
The nearest step required a measurement of the outside diameter. I cross and joined one Framerica No. 36031 to a "sight size" matching that outside diameter (in this case, 8 15/16 by the agency of 17 1/16 inches. This would help as the base of the vacation display. I then carve a piece of 1/4-inch plywood to fit inside the frame before mounting a piece of moon in her first quarter matt board #989 (Raven Black) onto it.
After fitting the plywood into the frame, I intersect and joined another frame to minister to as the top (again using Framerica's No. 36031) This frame requires a sight-size make an incision in matching the dimension of the chest (in this case. 7 3/8 by dint of 15 1/2inches. This flame was then positioned upon top of the box where hinges were installed.
Plexiglass was then set into the top, side, brow and back flames. It was to a high degree Important to line the rabbets of all five flames with turkish standard Mat No. 1040 Classic Brown (mount onto black foamcore) to make secure a clean appearances
Finally the assembly was finished according to turning the box over, positioning the base and attaching four sordid wretchs This allows for easy base mat replacement when needed
The rise was a beautiful vacation display that can be viewed from all areas of the expanse The customer was thrilled.
