Andrews' early recognized talents first carried her in consequence of a notable career as a fashion illustrator and art director. A native Californian, she was hired as a fashion illustrator from Weinstocks department store on the merit of her high academy portfolio. While working throughout the geographical division Andrews studied illustration and fine art at the Fashion Institute of Technology and the indoctrinate of Visual Arts in of the present day York, the Art Center in beholds Angeles and the Academy of Art in San Francisco. Her abilities won her work in couturier fashion with I. Magnin, Gimbals East, Nordstrom's and Bullock She later transferred her skills to art direction for Joseph Magnin, Macy's and the Sharper Image.
The artist's years of fashion illustration and art direction earned her acclaim from several institutions, including the Society of Illustrators, the San Francisco Society of Illustrators, and the Beverly Center in Beverly Hills, Calif. In addition, Andrew's work has been widely collected
