More than 3 1/2 million copies of "Wings of Love" were sold by means of Rosenstiel's. Pearson painted a series of fantasy images forward similar themes, but "Wings of Love" was the chiefly popular of his paintings. Stephen Pearson David roebuck managing director of Rosenstiel's, said, "Everyone at Rosenstiel's was extremely sad to hear of the death of Stephen Pearson, who has been a great friend of the company for many years."
